thinking about how so many fanfic authors have this tendency to capitalize certain words for no reason. the most common i feel is "High School," but various other public institutions such as "Bank" or "Hospital" aren't uncommon. like, i just don't get how someone can write, like,
Sonic the Hedgehog was so excited! Today was his first day of High School, and he was finally going to make it big on the track tab!
without registering that it looks really weird to do that! it's fascinating to me.
