Does anyone else remember the US versus China COVID response Disney princess rap battle that was released as CCP propaganda? I swear this is a real thing but I can't find it. It had like an evil Disney villain America girl singing about how she loves profit and hates poor people and a Disney princess China singing about how she wants to make sure nobody dies and will build hospitals and the English wasn't the best it had sentences like "Lab leak theory coming :)" and also it ended with this amazing sequence of fire and explosions and the US girl singing "Vietnam or Afghanistan, we're always happy to lend a hand :)" and the final line was "this is the freedom of America" over footage of like everything burning down.
I just think about it a lot because it's very corny and not very effective propaganda for convincing Americans especially because it's so on the nose but like gives a very strong sense of how the US is perceived by other countries. China shares borders with both Vietnam and Afghanistan so it's not like these are distant far away things to Chinese people. It's so easy to accurately demonstrate how evil America is.
