What is your favorite vampire fiction? Or just vampire fiction you think more people should see? Or vampire fiction that you think little freaks who enjoy this kind of thing would want to know about?

Pictured: Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines

The correct (I will not brook disagreement, if I've ever been right it's on this point) way to read Killing Eve is to take the first two seasons as a self-contained narrative and to ignore the rest. Seasons one and two share some fascinating structural similarities that are used to tell a story of obsession and manipulation, and, in this light, it is absolutely fitting that Eve does not survive the events of the S2 finale.

A fun aspect of this interpretation is that Killing Eve is, in its own way, a vampire story. Konstantin himself tells us (and Eve) as much:

Leave her alone. She's a parasite, Eve. She gets into your brain, she eats you up, to make space for herself. ... You think she loves you? Then make her hate you. Hate is something she understands, it's manageable. Look what happens to the people she loves. She'll love you to death. Look at Anna, Nadia. And look at me.

Villanelle takes, and takes, and bleeds Eve dry. And like any good vampire story, it is also a story of seduction: Eve gives herself to Villanelle, too enraptured to understand the danger until it is too late.

ok but if you want something more literal give A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night a try

I consume very little vampire fiction, but Hunter - The Parenting is a very good youtube fan animation/audio drama set in the Masquerade universe. It's about a family of vampire hunters, and alternates between hilarious and horrifying in a great way. The characters are based on characters from their previous similar show set in the Warhammer 40K universe, "If the Emperor had a Text-To-Speech Device", but you don't need to know anything about Warhammer to enjoy the show, there's just some references here and there.
