in reply to @catball's post:

when i got nipple piercings i decided to get barbells because i think they might be a little easier to heal at first but i am definitely thinking about switching to rings at some point because h

no clue tbh. probably depends on nipple size/shape too. i'm tempted to ask when i go in to downsize. i assume there's a little bit of a healing period to switch as the hole gets pushed into a new shape

otoh i've also thought about getting the little half-ring things that hang down from a barbell, which seems like the best of both worlds. but i'm not sure if the local piercing shop necessarily has those in stock (they could probably order 'em if i knew the technical term)

I used to have nipple piercings! I wanted to have rings but the piercer told me to start with barbells and then get rings later.

I waited about 6 months with barbells and swapped to rings. my body rejected them and gradually pushed them outward until the skin was about to break, and I took them out.

I vaguely hear that letting them close up means I won't be able to get them again, and maybe that's okay because now I also appreciate being able to go out without a bra sometimes, and I'm only being A Bit Lewd To People Who Are Looking Too Closely And Judging Too Much, as opposed to Obviously Lewd

but also it was fun while it lasted!
