Nope! It worked out fine though!
I was thinking of taking an intensive language course (it runs Mon-Fri for like 4 hours/day) thinking I might not be employed at this point, but I'm still employed! I also was told I can't burn a couple months of accumulated PTO simultaneously to take the class.
Instead, I'm currently making survey materials for a study I hope to run to attach to my IRB form and figuring out that process.
I also found a cool team at work that's doing a paper on trans & nonbinary harms from LLMs, and am spending a day per week working with them!
