so i wanna start some discussion about plural/sys headcanons people have for certain characters!! or even talk about canon plural characters. so comment or reblog with your additions!!

i'll start with shu itsuki from ensemble stars, who is canonically plural! another character, natsume, mentions that he displays osdd symptoms, mostly because of his doll, mademoiselle, who speaks for herself and is very distinct from shu, who treats her like her own person. mademoiselle is a factive of one of shu's childhood friend's mother, and acts very motherly towards shu, as she holds a lot of love for him and understands how shu's issues affect him intimately. i'll talk more about shu under the cut :3
shut itsuki's and mademoiselle

i have more elaborate thoughts about shu being plural over here, which is apart of an 'au'/storyline involving other enstars characters being plural. it involves a lot of headcanons and exploration of shu being plural past what is shown in canon.

in canon, shu's plurality was more of a 'focus' (mademoiselle was just in stories more) in the first game, es!, but in the second game, es!!, mademoiselle has rarely been seen, mentioned, or featured :( she's really taken a backseat in a lot of shu stories, which is a bit of a shame, but a lot of shu stories now about his relationship with mika and growing past his perfectionist attitude and sharing valkyrie's vision and theme with mika, which i do really like!

one of the most interesting things about shu and mademoiselle is that mademoiselle is never shown 'directly' controlling the body, as shu carries around a doll that represents mademoiselle. mademoiselle speaks in a different voice than shu does, and rather than making expressions with the body, she acts out her emotions and body language with the doll that represents her. in the game, it's sometimes passed off as ventriloquy, mostly from other characters in a teasing manner, but shu always adamantly says hes not a ventriloquist in any shape or form, and very much reinforces the idea that mademoiselle is the doll, and is entirely separate from him.

some misc thoughts:
i really love the idea of mademoiselle becoming friends with others that isn't just shu and mika, especially in es!! era. personally, i think mademoiselle and mayoi could be a great pair of friends! mademoiselle and niki would also be very fun :3
