This is somewhat unrelated (and I agree wholeheartedly otherwise), but I like the usage of wizards as a species-neutral thing!
Thanks :3 my partner fluffybuck/doegirldick came up with it while workin on their ttrpg Heist Wizards n needing a word to refer to player characters (and not repeating player character a million times) that wouldnt exclude the pawsibility of a player character being some kinda critter or creature. N then went "hey we can use this irl too" :3
