I am delighted to report this is the line that made a bunch of my ESL European friends look up the word "unshorn." Freshly armed with the definition, they objected to the choice of adjective. 
Oh, that is delightful. A lot of folks I know had a very, "hey, what!" reaction about the line, it's cute!
