Minutes are too short. Seconds are also too short. Hours are just right. A new proposal:
- there are 12 minutes in an hour (5 old-minutes)
- there are 60 seconds on a minute (5 old-seconds)
This will fix many things.
i think we need to go further
- a quarter after
- half past
- a quarter ‘til
these are the natural subdivisions of the hour imo
anything more precise is an affront to human dignity
