There is a big problem where investors are fully sold on the story of AI, so they'll give you money if you promise to do AI things with it. The business folks buy into this, and at a certain point the devs are put into the position of trying to figure out which of the things that they were going to do anyway can be labeled "AI" so that people higher up the chain don't get mad at them.
