going into December this year is gonna be so stressful - all sides of the family will want to see the baby, who will be ~3 months old, and it'll be some of the worst timing possible for spreading Covid, flu, RSV...
like here in the US I feel like Thanksgiving thru ~2 weeks after New Year's is the Danger Zone because it's just constantly people going to indoor gatherings of different groups of people for various holidays, spreading everything around, letting it incubate then spread around again.
at least baby just got the DTAP so shouldn't have to worry about whooping cough but Covid and RSV are both really scary. This year they came out with a prophylactic RSV antibody shot for babies but they didn't manufacture enough so nobody fucking has any! The supply is so low that they have to reserve all their doses for preemies, which makes sense to do but why is the medical system so fucked!! And it's another couple months before baby can get the Covid vaccine, and we'll see how much of a pain it is to find that even...
