how can anyone claim Andor "doesn't feel like Star Wars" when it perfectly nails Star Wars Onomastics

it has shit like:

  • normal real-world names but spelled weird (Timm, Syril, Kreegyr, Meero, Maarva)
  • names that are almost common real-world names but slightly not (Luthen, Kleya)
  • some just really ridiculous names (Jayhold Beehaz, Keef Girgo)
  • thing named very obviously a word related to it but changed slightly (the planet with the mining disaster is called Kenari, because "canary")

The names didn't stick out for me until Keef Girgo, then I was like "Yeah ok Mr. Lucas whatever you say"

I hope George is involved more and throws in a bunch of ridiculous nonsense that the real characters have to work around.

honestly Gilroy might be the Star Wars showrunner who's been most aligned with Lucas politically so imo it'd be pretty interesting for them to bring him back in somehow partly for that and partly just to have more characters with names like Elan Sleazebaggano, Moralo Eval, Nute Gunray, Lot Dodd, and Halle Burtoni
