it’s wednesday thursday! we straight up forgot yesterday was wednesday. you know how it is.

big news: the support backlog is now clear! huge shout out to kara for making that one happen. as stated in its post, it can now get started on work other than recovering from the swirling vortex of support tickets.

small patch notes this week; colin and jae are both locked in on larger projects that won’t see the light of day immediately, but they’re both good!

  • completed our migration from cloudflare to fastly
    • all that’s left is the most terrifying step: signing a final contract
    • speaking of which: now that we’re actually spending money on a CDN contract, please consider subscribing to cohost plus. we need money to live. and stay tuned for some new perks coming (genuinely) very soon!
  • added a .beat clock to the navbar for users that have .beat timestamps enabled

we’re sorry for the delay in publishing the financial updates. i (jae) have to redo budget math as part of our operating expense changes (fortunately, contracts mean fixed expenses) so the next financial update will include correct data based on that. unfortunately my health issues have continued largely unabated so i’m behind on some things, but i’m starting to catch up again.

that’s all for this week! we’re hoping to deliver some new stuff soon and we appreciate your patience as we work through this slower period.

thanks, as always, for using cohost! :host-love:

in reply to @staff's post:

Yoooo! A .beat clock? sign me up! I love alternative time keeping methods (and also using internet time is genuinely pretty useful when planning events in games and stuff, you can have one agreed upon time and an easy way to convert it back into the users local time)

Oh I finally have my question(s) thought out: Does the staff have any stance on the currently tolerated NSFW content potentially being a source of conflict with any host? Does Cohost plan to protect current NSFW content hosting as a core value?
