i've got a thing where you can pass in an object at the end of your logging calls and it'll add a little tag of that object's name, and hash it to find a colour! unfortunately a lotta colours are impossible to see in the console, especially when you apply your playmode tint.
so after a buncha research about colour contrast, i learned how to calculate contrast ratios and relative luminance and wrote a little thing that basically just takes the colour (starting with a deterministic hue value, a saturation of 0.6, and a brightness of 0.9) and then increases the brightness, then increases the saturation, and finally shifts the hue away from blue (the colour with the least luminance) if the saturation and brightness is maxed out.
with these new colours i can check their luminance against the most luminous of the light log background colour, and see if it's over my threshold of a 3.5:1 contrast ratio! ends up with a bunch of pretty and deterministic colours for objects and systems, i like it a lot :)
