working on new cards for The Last Days of Friendship Valley today, including:
- withdraw (heal your and a friend's discomfort by 1, but lose 2 friendship)
- poke fun (hurt a friend's anger by 1; if anger isn't maxed, heal their sadness by 3)
- get pathetic (hurt your sadness by 1 and reveal it; if sadness is maxed, gain 2 friendship)
basically my ethos for coming up with new types of card is "think about a mildly fucked up interpersonal behavior and then figure out how to codify it to be conditionally useful while also keeping the part of it that's mildly fucked up." so choosing to have them in your deck puts your character somewhere on the scale between "mostly-okay person with bad coping mechanisms" and "actively manipulative" depending on how you use them, which i think is a really tasty breadth of player interpretation
