Queering the Map is a site of holy communion. it's one of the best sites on the internet. every year or two i remember it, find my area, look at all the local pins, laugh and cry and feel whole, then add my own pin to add to the collection. i highly recommend you do the same.

I forgot about it for a long while until I was reminded of it recently. Was super surprised (but pleasantly so) to find a pin on my dinky little conservative hometown. Just a simple message of "started transitioning :)", but it gave me the warm fuzzies knowing that I wasn't the only one, it seems~

Ugh, yes. I also saw a tag for a gay bar in Saginaw that closed in 2015. I never went to it but I saw a tag for the bookstore right next to aut bar too. So much in A2 closed over the last 10 years! It's probably always been like that but I didn't start hanging out there until 2007

ahhh cultivate <3 I miss it, we should all hang there again sometime..!!

yea, the bookstore next to aut was great!! that whole little section was so good, I wish I had spent more time there before COVID... and that we can bring it back someday, too...
