I saw this post like "things to tell young people" and one was "if you do your hobby as a job be prepared to never have fun with it again" and I think that's a negative way of going about it.
I still have fun doing art, even commissions, you just have to really love DOING your hobby and not just finishing it. I think the advice should be to find joy in every part of it before committing to making it a career.
I dunno it just rubbed me the wrong way

I completely agree with this! I love my creative endeavors, I obsess over perfecting and detailing them for hours and hours that I would never spend working for someone else's gains at a job I hate. I already take what I do seriously and care about the quality and frequency I create it at. Thus whenever I get commissions or I'm streaming with gains in mind, I'm just as pumped to get it going!

I don't hate what I do, I do it for day devouring amounts of time because I LOVE DOING IT
