okay armored core is definitely a Certified Fromsoft Game, not in the sense that it resembles dark souls, but in the sense that it's really good but also immensely stressful to play. Like I primarily play videogames to relax and this thing is anathema to chill lmao. Every level is like five minutes of shooting dudes followed by 45 minutes of The Hardest Boss Fight You Have Ever Seen, and then when you clear that you get another five minutes of shooting dudes and then The New Hardest Boss Fight You Have Ever Seen

literally so hard it gave me a tummy ache lmao. felt satisfying to beat and beat not cuz i got lucky but because i made a plan and stuck to it and it worked BUT STILL

End of chapter 1 is brutal. Despite the frustration, though, I keep thinking about it and wanting to come back to it. Another hallmark of a FromSoft game. Gotta see more of those cool giant floating mining vessels in the sky.

I had friday off work so I'm probably further into the game than most people rn. Every subsequent boss is at least equally hard lmao. The whole game seems to be an ever-increasing difficulty gauntlet with zero breathing room
