「秋じゃないです」
今、落ち葉。
when i was practicing my Japanese with someone on bluesky the other day, i told her it was getting less hot, but the weather wasn't really 秋らしい yet. so tonight, when i cycled home through some decent wind and rain, and saw leaves getting blown off trees, i figured a correction was in order. and if you're being a weeb and writing about the seasons, what better form than haiku?
saw a li'l weasel guy in the bike lane too (i suspect a beech marten, though i didn't really have time to be sure). shout out to the li'l weasel guy
edit: originally i had 先だって言った as the first line, but then i found out gemination (っ) and ん count as separate morae (i should have known, because that's how they tend to be articulated in songs, too). told myself i wasn't gonna keep fiddling with it but then i realized there was an easy solution: just leave out the 言った entirely
