Your body is like, pretty dehydrated when you wake up. You just laid there for 8 hours not even drinking anything!! Re-hydrating helps loosen your muscles and remove dream-crust from your brain, probably.

This is my recipe for Waking-up Potion:
To one tall glass add 8 ounces of water. Leave by your bedside before sleeping. Drink upon waking.

After 3-5 days of following this recipe, you may find that you wake more readily, that your daily Waking-up Potion has become a cue to start the day! It's great, give it a shot!
