Yes, you DO deserve a better grilled cheese sandwich. Here’s my recipe:
Ingredients (substitute as necessary:
• Great Harvest Farmhouse White bread, sliced
• Plugra butter (salted or unsalted by preference)
• Port Salut cheese
Butter outside of bread
Set heat a notch lower than you normally would, port salut is very melty and we don’t want cheese soup
Accordingly, grill a bit longer than usual, ensuring the bread becomes properly grilled despite the lower heat
Your perfect result is bread just beginning to turn a golden brown with plenty of lovely soft, warm, rich, creamy, flavorful port salut in the middle.
