every time i see some news about silent hill my appreciation for the mother series ending at 3 grows stronger

I feel pretty similarly but unfortunately I am just stupid enough to get a sliver of hope thats big enough to be torn apart. I thought Silent Hills would have a real solid chance to be an actual good new silent hill game and we saw how that went and now the idea of Ryukishi07 writing a silent hill game is very exciting to me but I'm also trying sooo hard to not get TOO excited for it just in case something happens to it as well. (this excitement does not extend to whatever bloober team does I do not trust them to respect the original works and also believe the first silent hill games really dont need to be remade unless it would be graphics updates for 1 and 1 alone or slight qol updates)
