NOW! 😈

anyways i just wanted to type about this thing i did cause dang it was a long process for me. mystery dungeon is one of my fav games so it was very dopetastic to make overall and i hope y'all enjoy it as much as i did listening to it like a million kajillion times lmao.

OK... so this adventure started with me thinking about this one kapustin piece...hold up lemme find it...it was, apologies for butchering the 'classical titling notation' here lol, Prelude no 10 "Allegro". i was also thinking about Tancla's "Jerte" at the time, but that was just to fuel the grandness of the musical idea i was thinking about (which was the climax part of the song). i was like "ok this sounds sick...kinda sounds like mario circuit but i want to do this!".

SO... now i'm trying to think of what instruments to use...and since i did not have the real orchestra things and i did not feel like doing musescore, another idea popped in my head..."mystery dungeon! a mystery dungeon piece! that would be super epic". so my challenge was...to build around this climax part i was thinkin in my brain and use mystery dungeon soundfonts. it was pretty difficult for me... i'm more used to recording the notes in and quantizing them after for those somewhat authentic solos... but i had to click them in while using the keyboard for expressing ideas separately this time. that was interesting

THE... one thing i was worried about was the loudness and the mix...was everything clear? will the People hear what i'm hearing??? with my limited mixing experience, i eq'd a bunch of tracks and turned the volumes down and up... as well as intricately setting the pan of the percussion in such a way that it maximizes the listening experience (very intricate) in hopes that it sounds a little cooler. i think it did in the end! it better! if it didn't just lie!

AND...then bam! after all that and injecting 20102391 mystery dungeon references into it, mostly northern desert and hidden highland and the epic dialga fight song, it was finished... and in my excitement, i released it!

THUS... I am here writing this riveting music making process to you. i learned a great bit making this thang and i'm pretty excited to explore even deeper through this music making activity in the future!

i'll put down the soundcloud thing here in case u want to listen to the whole shabangalang
