โ€ƒ I'm surprised by the night capabilities of the Coolpix 995. I got an incredible amount of detail on the moon through the lake reflection! And I did not expect the amount of color that came out of the long exposures! It was a real fun night of shooting.
โ€ƒ (There's some pretty bad hot pixeling going on here, and while I could turn on the noise reduction on the camera to address it, I'm lazy and impatient. And I kinda like how they look. I'm also aware of how to clean them up in post, but that will only work well if I shoot raw and my current compactflash card is far too slow for that to be viable for now.)
โ€ƒ This is my first time ever making a super high effort chost!! It was all made possible thanks to the prechoster letting me preview changes. Yippee!!

all the little ccd flaws are so retro. they used to be so obvious you could forensically match photos from the same camera by hand like this, not sure how well that works even with tooling any more. nowadays people it looks more like photos taken in a place of honor

I had wondered if that was something people did when I first went over these shots and realized the hot pixels are always in the same place, that's neat! And yaaaaa the noise of the digicam definitely adds a layer of mystique to the photos
