is that they're kinda vague. i see a post with an 18+ warning, i don't know if i'm going to get like, super graphic furry porn, some artistic nudity, or an incredibly mild sexual pun

The prettiest sergal on the block, not the smartest.

I think both the CW and 18+ tags should be merged. Both function the same — mechanisms that both warn users about the post's content, and filter such content from being automatically shown.
CWs aren't necessarily an indicator of adult content, yet what they are (literally) indicative of is nsfw. Having separate 18+ and cw flags are a minor albeit visual contradiction, in this instance. The only real difference between both flags is they stack on top of each other.
Just combine both of them into one function/flag! If you have content warnings, they'll show up as usual. If it's also tagged as adult content — it will begin with, let's say, This post contains 18+ content, and has content warnings for: [content warnings].
Basically, what @jnnnn says.
This would be, I'm sure, a tedious rewrite of the filtering system cohost uses.
it literally already works this way, doesn't it? if you add content warnings to an 18+ post it does this and you only have to click once to expand it
...?
Adding content warnings to an 18+ post gives two separate flags. One informs you that 18+ posts are hidden according to preferences (if it is enables). The latter lists the content warnings.
The 18+ flag is always above the content warnings flag. I triple-checked while writing to make sure this is still the case. They are not combined.
So no, I believe you're mixing up what I'm saying. There's a button to show the post regardless if it is 18+ and has content warnings. They're not mutually exclusive.
ohh, is what you're saying here about the way that before opening them they're in two visually separate rectangles like this and that they should just instead put the text together like it does after you click the button? like they do already integrate with each other on some level, in terms of you not having to click twice to show it, so i can't imagine it would be hard to just change how that renders
Yeah they should just do what you said automatically. It would be less of an visible annoyance if there's multiple 18+ posts with CWs.
I'd like it if you could have a setting to always show the tags on 18+ posts, and another setting to show the OP tags included with the rebug post ones. That way you would usually get what the post is about since people are more consistent about tags than CW.
