The real fascinating thing about using Bluesky isn't that it's especially better than Twitter; it's not1. It's that it's pretty alright now, and everyone knows that it's going to turn to dogshit sooner or later. How many people are going to stick around when that inevitably happens?
Cohost, on the other hand, already feels cozy without the perpetual "okay when does the other shoe drop?" vibe. It's not without problems, but there's no Sword of Damocles involved.
1. worth pointing out that I used 3rd party clients, aggressively blocked, disabled retweets on some users, and culled my timeline to keep things manageable. I had to work to make Twitter as tolerable as possible short of not using it.
