That's basically how I'm feeling coming out of lesson one. Because:

  1. I'm legitimately excited! This is a very new field of insurance, and it's something I've already got a hobby interest in!

  2. My instructor is giving off Able And Qualified vibes

  3. oh my god the word "cyber" is repeated so much it's already done the "sad - annoying - funny" cycle at least twice.

Years and years ago I was a psychology major. One of the courses I took was called "abnormal psychology" and discussed all the really, really awful things that your brain and/or personality might do to you. You know what's fascinating? Organic brain damage. You know what's terrifying? Organic brain damage.

Anyway, at the very start of the class the prof warned us (paraphrasing): "you have to be careful taking this course, because once you're aware of these problems you're going to start seeing them everywhere, whether or not they're actually there. And you'll be convinced they're actually there."

So as I'm reading up about every single way something can go wrong for a person, and also every single way that an insurance policy might not apply to a claim, I'm absolutely thinking about that course.
