i don't get white lotus am i supposed to hate all these people but not even in a compelling way

I like how the the only good storyline is the colonizer who loses everything but is then adopted by the noble savages and finds himself in their local traditions and by “like” I mean the more I think about it the more annoyed I get
Like this is one of those things where the writing claims modern satire but it’s not even an exaggeration of anything and the consequences of each story aren’t even wish fulfillment they’re just real life consequences (ie for the rich white people, nothing)
