As more and more of online shopping gets taken over by accelerationist fast fashion like Shein and Temu and FashionNova, I've been trying to find more new places to buy clothes. But it's hard! They don't have the SEO! So I've mainly been getting turned on to stuff through social media.

So I'm making a post with some small fashion brands I've bought things from recently, and I'd love to hear about ones you know about or more resources:

Carmico - Found this designer through Twitter and I ADORE her designs, and I hope her business continues to grow. Periodic collections of related items that generally form almost an entire outfit. I have bought a lot of items from this site...

Meyoco Apparels -- Meyoco has been doing more and more clothing items over time, and I have loved their style since before the push for clothing. I got the fallen testament cardigan, and they also have shirts, hats, aprons, and other accessories like mouse pads.

MaoBabie -- Mostly cute plushes, also bags and hats. I got a puppy dog hat and a purse shaped like a mushroom from them.

BibiPins -- I got some compression gloves from this site and I like that they have so many cute and gay patterns. Every time I check there are more compression items including binders, as well as clothing, pins, and accessories.

Something I notice about all of these is that they are all very cute, and I'd love to hear some suggestions for more edgy clothing as well. I'm really looking for small businesses and not just lesser known big brands.

in reply to @DeviousVacuum's post:

These are all very lovely (I even follow some already!) but most of them are US or Canada based, and that means it's quite expensive to order them if you don't live in any of these countries :(

I think ideally one should try to support local clothes makers or at the very least national, but issues like availability, taste and such make it really complicated :/ Hence why so many people go for fast fashion even.

Sometimes the best thing you want is made in canada and you need to spend extra $ for that ;-;

Thank you for sharing! It's good to know of more places to shop, especially the jewelry.

For punky stuff I like my friend Hannah's shop: https://softcoreprintshop.com/

Be aware some of the prints on the site are 18+ / NSFW

I model for her, too, so a big, all-around self/friend-promotional disclaimer.

It's all up-cycled clothing that Hannah cyanoprints. She is meticulous about looking for quality clothing, puts a lot of work into the composition of her prints and has a guide for Sun Print Care on the site.
