EDIT: just gonna toss this in here cuz wowzers this reached wayyyyyy more people than i thought it would, go play Get in the Car, Loser! from @love!!!! playing through it was, like, a genuine mental-health-breakthrough moment for me. it helped me recognize a lot of the awful thought processes i'd internalized from my years-long dysphoria-fueled-depression and start the long process of taking better care of myself.
Needed this after seeing some awful harassment of queers by other queers elsewhere, some of it targeting people like me, thank you
i'd say just to pick your battles well. sometimes the fighting does need to be done (that's like, one of the major themes of get in the car, loser!, to keep things on theme!), but stay cognizant of how it affects you and those around you. bullies usually don't take losing well, and there's always the risk of them escalating things, or lashing out at someone more vulnerable in response.
