I kept thinking about it, and finally concluded that I HAD to make a skiff.
Originally intended to be a heavily armored bipedal tank, K7-N555 "Bass Cannon" was modified late in their construction to be a heavy hauler instead. Their rugged design means that no terrain is too rough, and their excessive size and powerful claws mean that no package is too large.
While they can't run fast, and even their walking speed is a slow, plodding THUNK. THUNK. THUNK., once they shift into ski mode and get that thruster going, they can achieve frankly terrifying speeds for a skiff this large.
Of course... that thruster... Well, since using ACTUAL nukes like the ancient engine it was designed and named after would've used would be uh... probably wildly illegal, not to mention wantonly dangerous to even THINK about using, this version instead uses concentrated plasma bursts to achieve a similar result. You still REALLY don't want to stand anywhere behind them when they're taking off, though.
K7-N555 gets their nickname of Bass Cannon from two things, primarily;
- The repeated, loud, reverberating explosions that propel them forward and
- The fact that while they're careening across the dunes at reckless speeds, you might just barely be able to hear them blaring dubstep, hardstyle, electro-industrial... you get the point.
