I kinda impulse-bought a thing of the hand pies at traitor joe's and I just ate one and it was soooooo good it had the big things of sugar crystal on the crust so it had a good cronch.
So I wanna make some! I am a baby and I don't make my own pie dough (I have always done well with frozen lol) but I want to get the fruit at the farmer's market. I love making pies with seasonal fruit.
If you live somewhere with a farmer's market I rly suggest you check it out, many even have programs where they'll convert EBT into some sort of market bucks. My local ones give you a 50% discount if you do that!
It's a ~7 mile round trip on my bike which is uhhhhh A Bit considering most of my trips are really short. I'll be all tuckered out when I get home I'll just have to make sure there's a Gatorade in the fridge and I'll be fine (you've heard of shower beer you should try a shower Gatorade)
