I'm sure things don't line up exactly right and some of the color-changing looks off and that's more like a wolf than a werewolf but shhhhhhhhh I made these really quick.
Diegetic info:
The alchemist's guild has always had a close relationship with the monster hunter's guild. One way this is quite evident is through the standards seen throughout the alchemists' guild hall. Eight flags represent the eight crystal spheres that make up the known universe (the planets, including our own, the moon, and the sun). Each sphere is tied to one of the seven noble metals (gold, lead, tin, iron, silver, copper, and quicksilver) along with salt, the base element.
The flags are shared in the order of their hierarchy. The sphere that is the sun is the highest rank, representing gold and tied with the red lion. Any student of alchemy would recognize that they represent The Great Work, the goal of all alchemists: the creation of the philosopher's stone and the ability to turn any element into any other. The goal being gold, both for its philosophical and literal value. The lowest rank is the phoenix and salt, as it's where we all begin...and what many strive to elevate from. However, anyone who joins the guild begins at enfield rank, as beginning one's journey to enlightenment already elevates them above lay people.
Each of the eight ranks are sub-divided into three additional ranks: sulfur, salt, and mercury. Lion-sulfur would be the highest rank and enfield-mercury the lowest. This represents how all elements are made up of the three primes in differing levels.
Isn't alchemy fun? lol Let me post and then rebugg this with the other four. You can look at the alt-text for all of them for a description of what each is. I use the irl-name of the symbols because me saying "oh it's the symbol for Molubdos" won't mean anything to you lol
And here are the other 4!
