the more i write short stories, the longer i find them getting lol. i dont know if there really are 6,000 words worth of stuff in this story? i honest to god thought it would be 1k words, maybe. i think ADHD's lack of ability to estimate time might also extend to wordcount lol
when you have a flash fic, you have a very hard upper limit, and also certain expectations. like you can do scene breaks for time jumps or 0 set up for settings/explaining of stuff. but can i get away with the latter? like normally i do not need to explain what earth/humans are but the pov is from an alien(s) so their going "haha how quaint look at these little idiots" about humans says more about them
also i do some Pronoun Fuckery but generally that is self-evident via the text i.e. the difference between We/Our/Ourselves and we/our/ourselves. i am incapable of being normal
