Do you like retro computers? Do you like KOBOLD programming? Do you remember the whole Y2K computer thing? Do you like bugs? Well, do you at least feel neutral about bugs?
"MOVE π TO π2πΊ" is a G-rated anthropomorphic/furry short story about a brood X cicada programmer who's awakened to help prevent the Y2K computer apocalypse. It's 1,500 words and suitable for all audiences, though there is some Bug Stuff, so if reading about bugs squicks you out, this might not be the story for you.
It was originally published in the Further Confusion 2023 conbook, but has also been reprinted [on my website] as well as [AO3], which is a good choice if you're on mobile (plus you can download it as an eBook, too!)
