this was a pretty neat and informative vid for a figure collector
i've seen those 1/4 scale kimono figures around (saw the sonico one in person in akiba when her preorder was up) and was also one of the people that thought the price point was due to the hina doll company that makes the kimonos for them and its prestige but no. it's furyu being shitty as fuck and charging $1700.00+ for a figure that doesn't even have metal pegs connecting it to the base (which is a shitty cheap piece of plastic, i was sweating when the guy gestured at his desk too much because the figure began to wobble, lmfao). and these get marked down like crazy after release... like for that much money i could just get 2 made to order oyama dolls from the hina doll company instead LOL
