man splatoon merch in japan is like "here are replicas of the target practice balloons, salmon run frying pans, skateboards, keychain replicas of the shoes with a little shoebox they come in, water bottles that look like the ink packs etc etc" and in the US it's like you have to go to nintendo ny only and they're like "yeah here's uh. a plain shirt from the first game i guess. it's $45"
