listening to an interview that was done with yana toboso about the twisted wonderland designs and it's actually really interesting hearing the thought process behind the costume designs for events, etc. there were a lot of rules in place for what she had to design but the most fascinating thing she mentions is how she decided on certain fabrics for the climate of where the event is taking place (for example: the harveston event had the characters in snow garb with lots of embroidery on it, she mentions that harveston is a place with shorter days so people would be inside more and probably engaging in embroidery as a hobby)
pomefiore being the hardest dorm for her to design is interesting too, they are my favorite dorm LOL i did wonder how she settled on that kimono-like design and she mentions having to work off of the silhouette of the evil queen from snow white instead of her first approach which made it hard to connect to the source's inspiration. very cool stuff
