I know the "To be or not to be" soliloquy has become something of a goof, shorthand for Dramatic Character in cartoons, that thing you're forced to read in high school english class, memetic to the point of meaninglessness. But, and not to get Too Dark on here, as someone who deals with near constant ideation I do think about it a lot and, honestly, it is probably one of the most beautiful things ever written on the subject of suicide. Not uplifting, but poignant all the same. One of my favorite versions:
