enough complaining about complaining about poor choices in narrative games

it's time to make poor choices about my own narrative game

I have the test results to work with from yesterday where I limited the locking down of the time-cursor to only happen at the end of the program running and if the buls have changed from their starting values

I'm not expecting much exciting, but another day, another management of my skein of commands

I haven't even done more than a few tests, and I already want to further extend a new warning I added now that I am reading it.

listening to my music that will be playing while Ada's in Funge Space eventually

I really like it. There are some changes I'm intending to make based on early feedback

I'm also excited to eventually get to integrate the music into the game, I'm definitely going to try to do some attempts at dynamic music and luckily I realized two very good tricks I can do where I don't actually have to make the transition seamless with how I've created the world

ok, checked in a few more things including a fix for that bug where saying "HI" when nobody was around caused a Run-Time Error

time for a break

got another boring change on the docket that I added to my private workitem board as "Let ada use contractions plz"

Basically, I wrote all this stuff in Funge Space back when I was thinking I'd have Ada not using contractions for much longer, but I changed my mind and had her back to using them in the zeroth exercise.

and small changes made through where I would have limited the writing that way.

it's interesting, I didn't replace contractions in a few places. For example, checking the original, I kept Ada describing Funge Space with "I am in a maze of twisty passages, all alike." rather than using "I'm", just as the original didn't use "You're".

The other was when I felt like Ada might say the full word "not" to make it clear that it was "not" as one might be confused by listening.

writing is fascinating

sadly this means I have to re-run the tests.

And they are still running. I think that's going to be it for me today because I hear the ffxiv a calling
