I'm Kitty (and so can you!)

Just a leopard from Seattle who sometimes makes games when she remembers to.

So I did a cardinal sin of software development: I updated my build tools in the middle of working on other features.

For my disregard, I have been punished by all my tests being broken because the RNG seeding has changed.

The apartment plushie puzzle in Quoll depends on a randomized set of plushies, with a randomized set of colors, found in a randomized solution. The apartment sigil file puzzle requires entering in a randomized two factor authentication code. Both of these puzzles must be solved to solve the zeroth level, the apartment.

That includes every test that plays through that zeroth level to get to the first level that I am currently wrapping up the zeroth release of.

So now I need to edit all of those tests. There was a run-time error. It is dark. I am likely to be eaten by a grue.

This actually had a silver lining! Going back over all the tests, I caught a possible soft lock!

Basically if the playerr has Ada start the initial conversation with Glitch where she's asked if she wants to take the tutorial, but then dicks around long enough, Ada will get moved on to the Time-Cursor.

However, Ada will refuse to leave that room up or down because after all, Glitch is waiting for a response, and both of those lead to important places that can wait until one is given. But neither can she go back out to the Living Room where Glitch is because the time chunk has been locked.

Fix should be easy enough but I gotta get to day job.

I got all my transcripts updated for the new RNG world I suddenly found myself in. I fixed the soft-lock and added some code to prevent the Playerr from resetting the time spell during the tutorial when it's not necessary.

It is no longer dark. My tests take 9 minutes to run. I'm going to sleep.
