to me, the funniest thing about twitter's incredibly slow flush down the toilet is seeing all the people be like "wow, [x] feature just broke... twitter used to be so good" like no it wasn't. what? it wasn't good. it was NEVER good. cmon be real now. like yeah twitter provided a way for you to supply yourself with a trickle of dopamine (the "feel good" chemical) under the pretense of meeting your human social needs, but is that good? call me a significant dipshit if you must but i just think there's a big difference between Good and Feels Good, especially when the website is just using Feels Good to hold me hostage. (i feel the same way about games that do this too but man if you start shitting on people's Source of Fun they go chimp attack mode on you) idk using cohost and also just being offline has made me really Bitter about the coercive way that a lot of websites are designed. they can't just be accessible; they have to Trap You by Exploiting your Human Sensibilities and personally i think that's actually villainous. every corporation treats you as an object
