i unfortunately do not have many of my childhood drawings. but I have a few that I will share
here's some aliens I designed in elementary school. I think these were from when I was about 9 or 10 years old or so. the first one was the alien character I would play as when pretending with my friends. I don't know anything about the rest
here is their ship:
here's an anime guy i copied from a tv guide magazine around age 10 or 11. i believe it is from Escaflowne and I recall being very proud of this drawing. you can see multiple attempts to draw the shape of the hair all over the page
by age 12 or 13, i was writing lots of fantasy stories, and i often made maps to go with them. by 13 or 14 i had a big fantasy novel project i was working on, and i made this elaborate map to go with it
the map is about 24 x 36 inches and is quite detailed. my dad saved it and recently framed it for me when we bought our first house, so now it hangs in my living room.
here's a prospector i drew around age 22
around this time, i started to experiment with various media. heres a picture of my friend michael that i painted on canvas with acrylic paints
by age 23, i began to give myself over entirely to bug people. here's a grasshopper postalworker
and at age 25 i started art school! you probably know what happened after that. thanks for asking :) i havent looked at a lot of this art in years so it was a fun journey. cool and weird experience to hold a 20-year old piece of paper that has my art on it
