cohost's whole vibe kinda meant that I viewed most artists on here as "guy from down the street who makes cool paintings" only now I'm looking up people's main accounts and realizing some of them have like Fifteen Billion Twitter Followers lmao

that quality to a space where you don't really know who's a "somebody" and who's a "nobody" has historically been a thing with many culturally significant hotspots and imo is a really important thing to exist. anyone who is able to make that sort of thing happen is a part of something special

I love that cohost has that. I love that I didn’t need to think “oh this is a bigger account, there’s no point to replying”. I love that it equalized the obvious “big number” social metric, and I hope more places do it too.

this was one of my fav things that i noticed about cohost early on. it really facilities interacting with everyone as normal people... because everyone is normal people, it's just that most social media obfuscates that fact

also, i hadn't thought of it until you framed it like this, but that's one of the things ive really enjoyed about taking improv classes. everyone comes from different backgrounds, and i end up making friends with people i might've been intimidated by if i knew their resume in advance!
