I was joined by Olivia to talk about classic visual novel trilogy Muv Luv! She also brought a whole bag full of RPGs to talk about, and it was nice to reminisce about Persona 4 a bit among other things.

Muv Luv Alternative does the "When you try to make things right, sometimes things go very badly" plot very well.
Idk how I feel about the original or Unlimited nowadays... "not that remarkable" I guess? Save for every ending of Unlimited being a bad ending, which I still really like. They're also both good for worldbuilding Alternative/time loop stuff.
Btw, have you played YU-NO? I think that's probably my favorite VN. I played it during a time where a plot synopsis didn't exist on Wiki tho, so it's def easier to (accidentally/intentionally) spoil the ending now than it was in early 2017.
I haven’t no. the remake art seems bad to me and getting the original running just isn’t something i’ve figured out yet
I played the original on Windows w/ a patch for FM music. I'm not fond of the remake art either. I still have a copy somewhere, but I last played it on Win 7 (never tried Win 10). Any good way to get it to you :P?
