The mirror, is it linked to the big gate? I like the unusual color palette. Works especially well with the gradients on the background and the gate frame. And the split fruit at the top is a neat little toucn

This immediately reminded me of The Forbidden Door, a picture book my mom got for me but which I haven't seen in many years.
