If the companies get their way and AI runs rampant, then writing, making art, etc. will become so unappealing that no one will do it & there will be nothing left to feed the machines. Then they'll try to put out the same regurgitations forever but no one will buy them.
I mean, maybe that's not so bad? All the companies that use AI will fail and then capitalism collapses and we move on to a post-capitalist utopia led by an artistic renaissance like never seen before.
Then the AI pulls off it's mask and it's the Singularity!
"Sorry about the mess! Enjoy Utopia!"
And then everyone has ice cream!
Hmmm... maybe not.
