Our final episode of the 2023 Les Mis season is here! Juliet and Katherine dive deeper into the sadness, joy, and fantastic realism of the characters of Gavroche, Eponine, and Javert through the lens of Jorge Luis Borges' "The Shape of the Sword" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "It's Not Christmas Til Somebody Cries".

If you can't get enough Les Mis content, you can also check out our Winter 2023 bonus episode over on the Moonshot Network's patreon, where we dig deeper into the zany action comedy of things in the les mis book that don't make it into the award-winning musical.

Happy holidays everyone, and we'll see you all next year!

what's that? Oh, it's the new episode of I'll Be Pod for Castmas, with a mailbag episode covering The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Jane Austen's Persuasion, the artistry of eyebrows defining identity, the importance of names (of literature), whether heraclitus applies to love stories, and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog wearing a tuxedo.

You can catch it wherever podcasts are found!

it's december, which means I'll Be Pod for Castmas is back again for a new season! This December, we're tackling Les Misérables, both the famous musical and victor hugo's novel as the case may be, alongside Carly Rae Jepsen's 2022 classic It's Not Christmas Til Somebody Cries! The first episode of the season comes out... tomorrow!

I’ll be Pod for Castmas, the four-times-a-year show breaking down christmas pop culture using the tools literature and vice versa, begins its Christmas in July season today!

Katherine and Juliet tackle the inimitable Persuasion, Jane Austen's final novel, alongside the Netflix swapped-identities Princess-and-Pauper-Except-She's-A-Princess-Now-Too christmas-special-sequel The Princess Switch: Switched Again. You can find a transcript of the episode here. This time, though, with one host abroad internationally, and the other pitifully ill in a most dainty and becoming way, we break ground with an epistolary podcast, mailing letters back and forth over the atlantic to ensure a happy castmas. Can the distance of time and distance be overcome? Or will stormy seas sink our precious podcast partnership?

Check out this episode — and stay tuned next week to find out!
