you’re here, and i’m here too

heavy and low like emo hardcore (ala: Title Fight), poppy and punchy like power-pop (ala: Paramore), and technical and noodly like the more "emo" japanese math rock (ala: tricot). really beautiful production on this album, and it's the perfect length for an album!!!! (aka: 10 tracks, under 30 minutes, much like 1000 gecs)

the "tri-state emo scene" (in its current iteration) has existed for what's coming up on two decades at this point, and this album Really feels like the purest distillation of what the best of the community (imo: Hop Along, Algernon Cadwallader, the list could go on forever) iterated upon for all that time. but above all else...

THE FUCKIN' RIFFS, DUDE
