i've been rotating the idea of making custom levels for Neon White in my brain lately, but that only leads to the paralysis of asking myself "what even constitutes good level design anyways?"

that idea then led to me asking myself "could i make a Pannenkoek-style video over-explaining Exactly Why the speedrunning community loves the levels that consistently rank the highest in informal community polls?" and unfortunately that answer is yes, and the thought hearing my own voice talk in Tuber Tone was so overwhelming i had to go lie down

well, i've been working on something Kind Of like the video mentioned above on-and-off for about checks post 8 months. however, it's Quite long and i didn't finish it before cohost shutting down, but it did still get me to steal find a copy of Premiere and start making something i have no experience in doing

however, i wanted to actually finish Something before the end, and i found this Baby's First Film Essay to be pretty fun to write and make. welp... here ya go lol

it seemed like you had a really good design sense when you were working on those rhythm game levels, I think you should give it a shot! I often find that the "blank page" problem in design evaporates pretty quickly once you get a basic idea down and start seeing all the ways to improve it
